Nets vs. Grizzlies 2/24/13

Here are some notes for those fans watching the Brooklyn Nets (33-23) take on the Memphis Grizzlies (36-18) in NBA action at the Barclays Center.

If the Nets win it would end a two game losing streak to Memphis that began on 2/15/12. It’d also be the fifth win in six games for Brooklyn (all against playoff positioned opponents, which dates back to 2/11 at Indiana.

Nets Notes:

Deron Williams recorded his team leading 14th double-double of the season, with 15 points and a team-high 13 assists vs. Houston on 2/22. Williams went three-for-eight from three-point range versus the Rockets, and has hit three or more three-pointers 18 times this season.

Brook Lopez tallied 27 points with tis rebounds versus the Rockets in the game on Saturday. Lopez has been able to score at least 24 points 10 times this season, and the Nets hold a 8-2 mark when Lopez scores 24 or more points.

Last time out for Brooklyn:

The Rockets were able to defeat the Nets, while sweeping the season series with a 106-96 decision at the Barclays. It was the 13th straight victory against the Nets and the 10th consecutive victory against Brooklyn on their home-court.

Nets Milestones to Watch for:

Kris Humphries is five rebounds away from 3,000 total, three offensive boards away from 1,000 and two defensive rebounds away from 2,000

The Nets and Grizzlies game is set to air on the ESPN and YES network, with tip-off schedule for 7:00 p.m.
