Nets vs. Nuggets 2/13/13

Here are some notes for those fans set to watch the Brooklyn Nets (30-22) take on the Denver Nuggets (33-19) in NBA action at the Barclays Center.

If the Nets win it would be the second victory in a row at home against the Nuggets, with the last one happening on 1/31/11, which was a 115-99 decision. A victory would also give Brooklyn a 19-10 mark at the Barclays Center this season.

Last Time Out For Brooklyn:

The Nets were able to overcome a four point deficit with 1:38 remaining in the fourth quarter in order to earn a 89-84 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Monday. All-Star center Brook Lopez recorded a game-high 25 points with eight rebounds to help lead Brooklyn to the victory.

Franchise Leaders:

A trio of this current Nets team rank in the top 10 in franchise history, in per game statistics. Deron Williams is second in assists-per-game (8.7), Brook Lopez is sixth in blocks-per-game (1.7) and Kris Humphries is ninth in rebounds-per-game (9.0).

Reggie the Rebounding Machine:

Reggie Evans is averaging 13.8 rebounds-per-game over the last five contests. Evans who recorded 22 rebounds against the Pacers was the 11th time this season a player has had 22-plus in a game. Evans has done it twice this season.

Interesting Overtime Fact:

In the Nets 89-84 overtime victory against the Indiana Pacers, it was the second time ever the Nets have won an overtime game when scoring less than 90 points; the last time was a 86-86 at NOH on 3/9/05.

The Nets and the Nuggets are scheduled to play on the YES Network with tip-off slated for 7:30 p.m.
