New York Mets All-Star David Wright took time out prior to Game One against the Washington Nationals on Monday to visit the members of FDNY Squad 18.
The House, which lost seven members in the 9/11 terorist attacks, got to interact with Wright. This is the eighth year that the Mets third baseman has visited a FDNY house, the Norfolk, Virginia-native grew up having a father serving in the Police Department in his hometown.
1495 Sports is proud to bring this photo look, as Wright continued on a fine tradition of the Mets giving back in the community.
