The Brooklyn Cyclones announced that they will have ‘Giving Back Week at MCU Park ‘ starting on August 21-23, as the franchise plans on giving $15,000 to local area charities during a three-game Cyclones homestand when the team takes on the Tri-City Valley Cats. All games begin at 7 p.m.
Fans who wish to participate in ‘Giving Back Week” can do so easily by picking-up tickets during the homestand, in order to do that you need to use the code Donate when purchasing $16 field box tickets via phone or internet. The Cyclones are going to hat $5 from each seat sold to go local area charities combined with revenue from in-house activities including inflatable games, launch-a-ball, and jersey auctions.
The Cyclones will also hold a food drive on August 21, as fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food to MCU Park. All donations will go to the Reaching Out Community Services – a nonprofit, volunteer organization dedicated to the distribution of food and other basic items to needy families and individuals in the Brooklyn area since 1992.
Brooklyn is slated to have a ton of events during the week as on Wednesday, August 22 will be Bark in the Park Night. On that night fans are encouraged to bring a can of dog and or cat food which will be given to the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals.
On Thursday, August 23 fans are encouraged to bring in gently worn shoes and or sneakers, which is going to be donated to the Soles 4 Souls initiative.
