Harvey set to make Citi Field Debut against Atlanta

After making his first three starts on the road New York Mets rookie pitcher Matt Harvey is set to make his Citi Field debut against National League East rival the Atlanta Braves on Friday Night. Harvey will have a tough start to follow as R.A. Dickey tossed a complete game on Thursday.

This will be Harvey’s (1-2, 3.86 ERA) first start against the Braves, in what should be an electric crowd at Citi Field. The right hander earned his first win, while setting a club record with 11 strikeouts in his debut on the road in Arizona, since that start the young starter had one good/one tough appearance on the hill.

That can all disappear with a blink of an eye if Harvey can just limit the damage that the Braves can do, this is still a formidable team though as Atlanta is coming off a series where they took two-out of-three games against the Phillies.

The stage is set and it is time for Matt Harvey to make his Citi Field debut, time to see what the kid is made off and what he can do under the bright lights of the Big Apple.
