New York Jets’ first-round draft pick Quinton Coples announced on Saturday that he will have an inaugural community day in his hometown of Kinston, NC to celebrate his selection to the squad. Coples working with local community leaders and department parks and recreation, the defensive end who was selected 16 overall in the 2012 NFL draft will bring an exciting day for his hometown.
The crown jewel of the day will be the Coples NFL Draft Celebration Cook Out, which will take place on July 21 at the Southeast Elementary School (201 S. McDaniel Street Kinston, NC, 28501) from 4-8 p.m. The event will feature live music, food, basketball tournaments and special activities for children and seniors a like.
Admission is free to the public, thanks to Coples wanting to give back to his hometown.
