The New York Mets announced via press release on Sunday, the addition of two special events in their promotional schedule for the 2012 season. The franchise added the Mets Concert Series, along with a Fireworks night.
The Mets Concert Series will be presented by Duane Read, while the Fireworks Night will be presented by Caesars. For fans anxiously waiting to buy single game tickets, your wait is over as the opportunity to purchase tickets for the 2012 season will take place tomorrow, Monday, March 5 at 1:00 a.m. at Mets.com or by phone at 718-507-TIXX.
The franchise is planning on holding the Concert Series post-game, and will feature these bands, REO Speedwagon (June 15), Cheap Trick (July 20) and MercyMe (August 10). The performances will start approximately 15 minutes after the conclusion of each game.
Meanwhile the Fireworks Night will be slated to take place on Tuesday, July 3 following the Mets-Philadelphia Phillies game, which is set to take place at 7:10 p.m.
