There are stories, times and moments, when as a fan all you have to do is sit back and enjoy. For those who are faithful to the Orange and Blue known as the New York Knicks (14-15) that magic, spark, and swagger has returned-and fans are sitting back and loving every second of it.
Sparking the fire that is the Knicks has been point-guard Jeremy Lin, who with each passing week, and with each victory continues to grow amongst the greats in the world of New York sports. Lin made the tiebreaking three-pointer with less than a second remaining to help New York to a 90-87 victory against the Toronto Raptors (9-21) on Tuesday.
Lin had a point streak of six, which was capped by that game-changing shot that helped lead the Knicks to their sixth straight victory. That has been what Lin has been all about though, making those moments that fans have just been eating up lately.
New York’s offense was rounded out by the return of Amar’e Stoudemire, who had a four-game absence with the loss of his brother; the forward-center finished the game with 21 points, while Tyson Chandler had 13 for the Knicks.
Things weren’t always coming up roses for the Knicks who needed a 17-point comeback to earn the victory; this rally was the biggest by a Toronto opponent this season.
The Knicks will return home to Madison Square Garden to host the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. The game with New York and Sacramento is slated to air on the MSG network, with tip-off slated for 7:30 p.m.
