The New York Mets are teaming with Goya Foods and City Harvest to host a holiday food drive on Thursday Nov. 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Citi Field. Fans who donate at least 10 items of nonperishable food will receive a voucher redeemable for two tickets to a select game in April.

Fans may also show their vouchers at the Mets team store at Citi on that day to receive a 15-percent discount off regularly priced merchandise. Season-ticket holders showing the food drive vouchers will be able to get a 20-percent discount.

Those interested in dropping off a donation can do so at Lot G on 126th street, outside the team store. Most needed by City Harvest are canned fruits and vegetables; plastic jars of peanut butter; packages of hot or cold cereal; and the boxes of macaroni and cheese.
