On Thursday, November 17, 2011 the New York Mets teamed up with Goya and City Harvest to host their first food drive at Citi Field.
Not even the rain could stop the multitude of Good Samaritians from dropping by with their donations of non-persihable items. Those donating recieved a voucer for a game in April along with a coupon for 15% off in the Mets team store.
Just in time for the holiday season, the club released apparel celebrating the 50th anniversary, which the Mets will celebrate in the spring.
1495 Sports was there for the event, and invites all fans to check out the excusive photo gallery from a day of giving at Citi Field.
