Cano proves to be an All-Star both on and off the field

New York Yankees slugger Robinson Cano proved to be an All-Star off the field, with his visit to the Taichung’s China Medical University Hospital on Thursday afternoon. The young star visited the youngsters of the facilities, brightening up the days of fans from 10,000 miles away.

Cano, who is participating in the 2011 Taiwan All-Star Series, leading a team of MLB All-Stars, who have already won Games 1 and 2 of the exhibition set against the Chinese Taipei national team. The two teams will next meet on Friday in Taichung.

Game 3 will be played at Intercontinental Stadium, and will air on Friday at 9:00 p.m. on the MLB.TV and MLB networks. Games 4 and 5 are slated to be played at Chengcing Lake Stadium in Kaohsiung, and will air on the MLB.TV and MLB Networks at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and at 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.
