Rangers drop pre-season finale

The New York Rangers fell to EV Zug by a final of 8-4 in the finale of pre-season action. Playing in their fourth different country over a five-night span, an exhausted Blueshirts team battled pulling to a 3-3 tie.

Sadly New York could not overcome fatigue, as they surrendered five of the final six goals of the game. Leading the Rangers in the finale was Artem Anisimov, who tallied a goal and an assist. The Rangers also received goals from Ryan CallahanMike Rupp and Ruslan Fedotenko.

Now it is on to the regular season opener on Friday in Stockholm, as the Rangers are slated to face the L.A. Kings. The puck is slated to drop at 1:00 p.m. and is scheduled to air on the Versus network.
