It was announced today on the official New York Mets page that the team will be holding a charity softball game on Tuesday September 6, as 75 fans will have the opportunity to play softball at Citi Field.
Mets greats Ed Charles, John Franco, Bud Harrelson, Ed Kranepool and Darryl Strawberry will all be on hand to cheer on the participants.
All proceeds will be donated to the 911day.org, whose mission is to inspire other to pay tribute on the anniversary of 9/11 by good deeds.
Tickets are $500 per admission, which includes softball participation, a t-shirt along with food and beverage.
