Revitalized Red Bulls gain huge three points at home against the Crew

The fans at Sports Illustrated Stadium brought the energy and in a physical and intense match the Red Bulls of New York were able to defeat the Columbus Crew by the score of 3-2.

Getting to see the team having a full nose to the net mentality and rewarded for that mentality as three goals by Julian Hall (Zakrzewski) led the way.

Also starring in the match was Cade Cowell as he had two assist and in the net the team got to see a fine performance from Ethan Horvath, as he was able to anchor things while making two saves.

The type of soccer that was seen in Harrison, New Jersey was for sure of MLS Playoff quality as things were physical and there was a fine defensive effort put in.

Columbus for sure got to showcase a bit more what they can do in the NYC area as goals from Hugo Picard and Diego Rossi led the way.

At the end of the day though it was Hall and his energetic play and his ability to be able to find the net and convert on an opportunity, including a rebounded opportunity in the Second Half that brought a revitalized new energy to the supporters group and to the team.

In fact the supporters group showed such a great passion and heart, and have done so steadfastly thus far that the guys did something special for them after the victory against Columbus by every member of the team walking by the supporters and to give high fives, selfies and interactions after the night.

It was something that those in the audience for sure savored by the supporters and something the guys probably wanting to make sure that those that constantly pack Sports Illustrated Stadium are aware of how much the support and chants mean to them on a match by match basis.

Some Fun stats when it comes time for the hat trick by Hall is that he is now the youngest player in MLS history to get that milestone, while also being tied for fourth-most goals in the MLS

Hall is now the seventh fastest player in club history to score nine goals, and he was able to do that in 13 matches played.

When it comes time for some of the other stats from the Red Bulls PR department include the fact that the assist by Cowell makes him tied for fourth-most in the MLS this season.

The Red Bulls are play well when it comes time to facing the Crew as they are now unbeaten in five of the last six matches across all competitions against the visiting side.

This momentum is very much needed as the MLS version of the Hudson River Derby is coming this Saturday.

Things are at a perfect intersection for both the Red Bulls and NYCFC as they are preparing for the Second Meeting. The first time these two teams met in Sports Illustrated Stadium the Boys in Blue were able to play to a 3-1 victory.

What is going to make the match against New York City FC a fascinating one is the fact that they were also able to defeat Columbus and recently got a big win on the road against Charlotte.

It is going to be a night of thrilling soccer for sure as the Red Bulls face New York City FC on May 16 at 7:30 p.m.
