A night to remember as Czechia and Guatemala thrill Soccer fans

With perfect temperatures, a wonderful atmosphere and a thrilling match the international teams of Czechia and Guatemala thrilled the fans of Sports Illustrated Stadium in the start of the international soccer area in the United States.

For the first ever meeting between these two club’s things became intense and physical very quickly as all Guatemala crowd was into every moment of the match.

Czechia showed some great strategy when it came time for the defensive efforts and saw goals from Patrik Schick (11′), Tomáš Chorý (72′), and Denis Višinský (79′) in the 3-1 victory.

Guatemala made things close especially at the Half as the two sides were tied at one because of a goal by William Fajardo (40′).

It was in the Second Half that Czechia opened up the match scoring wise, and even though La Azul y Blanco had them many quality opportunities it was just the stellar play by Nároďák getting them ready for the upcoming appearance in the FIFA World Cup.

The thing that Guatemala can be the proudest of is the fact that the defense played well, as a 5-4-1 formation led by Aaron Herrera and José Carlos Pinto showed quality throughout the night.

Bench depth is something that is going to be a big factor as the Czech team enters into Group play, and they were able to see the subs make a big impact in the victory against Guatemala as goals by Tomáš Chorý and Denis Višinský were the biggest moments in the victory.

The first real test for Czechia is going to be on June 11 as they are going to face South Korea at Guadalajara Stadium, as for Guatemala they are going to continue to focus themselves on gaining international friendlies with high-profile opponents and the upcoming CONCACAF competition.

The Nároďák got to get the ticket to the US on back-to-back penalty shootout victories against Republic of Ireland and Denmark and feature players such as Petr Čech and Pavel Nedvěd.

Even though Guatemala is not going to be in the tournament this year, this match is essential to the next steps the team is hoping to have when it comes time for competition especially with the CONCACAF Tournaments.

One of the best games the team played was on Tuesday, May 26 in the 6-0 victory against the Blue Rocks. The Cyclones were also able to hold Hudson Valley Scoreless on May 20 with the final of that being 5-0.

The final three games were ones that gave the team a huge momentum before they go on the road, as they were able to see scores of 10-5, 8-1 and 2-0.

In the finale on May 31 was the team’s sixth shutout, along with the third in the last eight days.

Daviel Hurtado, Bryce Jenkins, Juan Arnaud, Hunter Hodges and Cristofer Gomez were on the mound for the memorable day, as they were able hold the Blue Rocks to only four hits.

As for the offense the bats were led by Corey Collins as he launched his fourth homer of the year in the Second Inning, and the team also saw a RBI Double by Trace Willhoite in the Seventh Inning.
