Cyclones heading into Month of June with the Bats starting to Heat Up

The Brooklyn Cyclones (17-33 in the South Atlantic League) are about to head into the Month of June on a three-game winning streak after hosting Hudson Valley and Wilmington in Coney Island.

Ever since the game against the Renegades last Friday the team is scoring 49 runs in seven games and that is now ranking them third in the most in the South Atlantic League during that span.

Some other fun facts and figures form the Cyclones PR Department include the fact that the team also holds a .404 on-base percentage during that span and they are now the best in the league with that mark.

One of the best games the team played was on Tuesday, May 26 in the 6-0 victory against the Blue Rocks. The Cyclones were also able to hold Hudson Valley Scoreless on May 20 with the final of that being 5-0.

The final three games were ones that gave the team a huge momentum before they go on the road, as they were able to see scores of 10-5, 8-1 and 2-0.

In the finale on May 31 was the team’s sixth shutout, along with the third in the last eight days.

Daviel Hurtado, Bryce Jenkins, Juan Arnaud, Hunter Hodges and Cristofer Gomez were on the mound for the memorable day, as they were able hold the Blue Rocks to only four hits.

As for the offense the bats were led by Corey Collins as he launched his fourth homer of the year in the Second Inning, and the team also saw a RBI Double by Trace Willhoite in the Seventh Inning.

The Cyclones are now in Jersey Shore for six games starting on June 2 at 6:35 pm.
