It was Jacen Russell-Rowe that was able to get the lone goal for Canada from an assist by Malik Henry at the 66′.

For Canada the victory is a great step overall when it comes time for the development of a new team identity for Coach Marsch.

As for Guatemala the question is what the team is going to do now to rebound in the next international match that they have, especially after faring so well against the Canadian Men’s Team.

One thing is for sure the rivalry between Guatemala and Canada is building tremendously especially with the passion and physical play that was displayed by Guatemala at BMO Stadium.

The Guatemala team is going to continue to focus and regain the formula that is needed to succeed in international play.

Especially on US Soil, that is the biggest piece of the puzzle for the team to solve.
