Walk-Off Thrills Cyclones fans on Fathers Day

Through rain and weather the Brooklyn Cyclones (43-20) concluded a six-game homestretch against Asheville in the best way possible with a walk-off win.

The game on Sunday featured a bit of everything as those in attendance got to see a triple and double play back-to-back, the fact that the guys were able to have three Sundays with a walk-off and pitcher Sean Manaea making his way back to Queens with a rehab start.

Overall, through the series the guys did well only losing two games, as Games Three and Four were close calls.

Other then that though it was all good news as the team during the course of the series were able to see some other great achievements including the fact that they were able to collect the 7th shutout victory of the season on Satuday with the 1-0 victory.

Things are getting very exciting for the guys as they head to Aberdeen as they are in a 3-team race for the South Atlantic League for the First Half North Division Crowd. As of now the guys have a 0.5 lead on Greensboro for First Place.

The guys just need to win three more green or any Grasshopers loss is going to get the guys the crown.

Today is an off day before a six-game road trip to Aberdeen to take on the IronBirds starts on Tuesday, June 17 with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.

While the Cyclones have not set the starting rotation as of yet, the IronBirds are scheduled to have Michael Forret on the mound.

Forret according to MiLB is one of the Orioles top Prospects at #7, being drafted by the team in 2023 in the 14th Round with the 421 Overall Pick.

Since being recruited from the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota he is showing a great velocity, and pitching to an impressive 28.8 percent strikeout rate.
