As the ladies of Gotham FC are now in Texas, they look to improve on the progress they have made in the prior matches.
Thus far the ladies and the style of play has vastly improved and this test against the Dash is going to be one that is going to see where the ladies are.
In the match against Orlando there were a ton of positive notes on the side of the Bats, as the overall defense is something that the ladies took pride in, as well as being able to connect with each other and create some wonderful chances offensively.
This test against the Dash is going to be different though as the Houston side features those that were on the Gotham FC roster in the past years, so it’ll be fascinating to see what Head Coach Juan Carlos Amorós does next.
The rivarly between Gotham and Houston is one that saw the franchises play in 26 regular-season meetings. The Bats enter with an 11-9-5 mark, including a 5-3-3 record on the road.
In the last two trips to Shell Energy Stadium, Gotham FC is unbeaten with the ladies seeing a 1-0 victories against the Dash last season.
For the team one of the themes during the media zoom session was all about making progress, trusting the process and focusing on themselves as they look to gain the first three points on the 2025 season.
Gotham FC fans are encouraged to watch the video below to hear from Coach Amorós along with Nealy Martin and Taryn Torres share thoughts prior to the match against Houston. Video is compliments of Gotham FC:
