Gotham FC Now Prepares for Home Opener after Draw in Seattle

The ladies of Gotham FC hustled and played hard in the team’s road draw against Seattle on March 15.

In that match against Seattle the franchise saw a ton of positive moments including the debut of Gabi Portilho, as she also contributed immediately with a goal in the 47th minute.

Also making her debut were Jaelin Howell, Sarah Schupansky, Lilly Reale and Mak Whitham.

As the ladies are getting ready to return to the friendly confines of Sports Illustrated on March 23, it is going to be an epic clash for the squad as they are going to take on the defending NWSL Champions in the Orlando Pride.

In the team’s most recent meeting in October the ladies were able to play to a 3-1 victory and also extended a winning streak to seven straight regular season matches.

These two franchises are very familiar with each other as they have previously met 23 times, as Gotham FC has a 7-9-7 record.

When the doors open to Sports Illustrated Stadium on the 23 of March those that are in attendance that day are encouraged to wear their Gotham Blue Colors as the team is having a Blue Out planned for the day.

The team is also going to have a Fan Fest planned for the day as the first 5,000 in attendance are going to receive a rally towel and interact with Ali Krieger from around 3:15-4 p.m.
