There were a ton of different topics that were discussed during the 2025 Gotham FC media day. As members from all different media outlets filed into a quaint space in the Brooklyn, New York Area to interact with the members of the team.
With Gotham FC throw pillows adorning the vintage couches and the different journalist and columnist starting to file in there was definetely a buzz in the venue building to the moments of the media day.
As the members of the team came into the room, there were two different sessions of the media day.
The first group featured Ella Stevens, Bruninha and Jessica Silva all sharing thoughts on how they can now combine the talent with the newest members of the roster and all the exciting news that came to the team during the course of the 2024 offseason.
In addition to the fact that the franchise was able to see the venue name change from Red Bull Arena to Sports Illustrated Stadium is something that is going to leave a historical impact on the sport of Women’s Soccer.
As well as the fact that coming to the franchise is forward Gabi Portilho from a stellar career with the Corinthians.
Portilho is coming to the team with 22 goals and 96 appearances while helping the Corinthians win four league titles and three Copa Libertadores Femenina Trophies.

Then prior to the start of the Press Conference it was announced that the team is going to do some training in Spain, in the continued expansion and growth of the team internationally.
Stevens, Bruninha and Silva all shared their thoughts with the group before going into individual breakout sessions, then came the group of Emily Sonnett, Nealy Martin, Rose Lavelle and Tierna Davidson.
There were a ton of great stories shared as the ladies are about to embark upon a historical 2025 season that is going to include the fact that there are going to be 16 matches to be nationally televised.
A new concept that was introduced today was the rivalry series between Gotham FC And the Washington Spirit, and the fact that the ladies are going to participate in the CONCACAF W Champions W Cup on May 22 against Mexican powerhouse Club America at the famous Estadio Universitario.
