After much fan fair and celebration in New Jersey, the U.S. Olympics Women’s Soccer Team is one match away from shipping off to Paris and starting the 2024 Olympic Games. The ladies are going to have a send-off match that is going to be presented by Coca-Cola against Costa Rica and at Audi Field in Washington D.C.
There is a good part of the roster that are members of the hometown team the Washington Spirit, so the match is extra special for Casey Krueger, Croix Bethune and Trinity Rodman as they are going to be playing for club and country in front of the hometown crowd.
To see more on what Coach Emma Hayes along with Krueger, Bethune and Rodman all shared these thoughts with the media…video is compliments of U.S. Soccer/Veritone.
After the teams 1- victory against Mexico thanks to a goal by Sophia Smith the ladies now prepare for a completely different team in Costa Rica.
As they head into the match the ladies are on an eight-game unbeaten streak, and during the run have been able to outscore the opponents by a tally of 18-5.
It is going to be a tough draw though as Costa Rica reached the quarterfinals of the Concacaf W Gold Cup earlier this year along with competing in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The U.S. Olympics Women’s Soccer team have something special planned for those in attendance as fans are encouraged to stay and be a part of the send-off ceremony as each of the 22 players are going to be recognize prior to the departure of France.
