Cyclones Looking to Bounce Back in Brooklyn

Thus far the 2024 Season for the Brooklyn Cyclones (1-4) is a bit of a struggle as the guys are looking to get both the bats and the pitching to combine for some wins on the field.

The lone win for Brooklyn was the team’s home opener in Coney Island as on Tuesday, April 9 the team defeated Asheville by a final of 3-0.

Then in the Second Game of the series held on Wednesday the guys made things close, but ultimately the Tourists bats came through in the clutch for the 7-3 victory.

Tons of bright spots were shown in that game as stellar defensive plays by Omar De Los Santos, and a highlight play by Stanley Consuegra impressed many in the ballpark.

As for the team’s offense it took the guys a while, but they were able to drive in some runs in the Seventh Inning.

D’Andre Smith got the frame going with a hard-hit ball to the outfield and showed some spark by stealing second. Then that got the rest of the guys going as Drake Osborn laced a single.
That set the stage for De Los Santos as he was able to drive in the runs with a single to the outfield.

While things were close the Tourists and the bats were able to increase the lead and send the fans in Coney Island away with a nailbiter of a game.

The Cyclones and Tourists continue a six-game series with a 7:00 p.m. game set to be played on Thursday, April 11.

Asheville is going to have Jose Batista on the mound, and he enters into the game with a 1-0 record and having struck out four batters thus far in the 2024 season. As for Brooklyn they are going to give the start to Noah Hall.

Hall, selected by the Mets in the 2023 Draft in the 7th Round with the 216 overall pick and went to school in South Carolina. Thus far the righty has a 0-1 record with three strikeouts.
