Tough Second Round loss for Fordham as they fall to VCU, 69-62

In the second time in the Atlantic 10 Championship History the Fordham University and VCU met in the battle of the Rams, along with it being the 15th time in the history of the programs.

Though Fordham University stood tall and even in one point in the game held the lead it was VCU coming on top and advancing to the quarterfinal round and go up against UMass with the tip between the two teams scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

Leading the way for Fordham is Kyle Rose as he scored 19 points on 6-12 shooting, 4-6 from three and also having a 3-4 day from the free throw line.

As for VCU they had three players in double figure scoring as they were led by Max Shulga as he scored 14 points as he went 4-4 from the field, 2-2 from the three-point arc. Shulga is followed by Toibu Lawal with his 13 points and Zeb Jackson with has 10 points.

Thus far Fordham has no luck with going up against VCU as thus far the only victory in the series came in January of 2017 in Rose Hill Gym.

VCU is hoping to defend the Atlantic 10 Title by going up against the UMass on Thursday March 14 at 2:00 p.m. Thus far the DMV area Rams are hoping to capture the title at the Barclays Center for the Third

Time as they previously accomplished the feat in 2015 and 2023.
