The New York Riptide during the 2023-24 season are thrilling fans with their style of play. Thus far the National Lacrosse League having some fierce competition as currently sitting at the top of the table is the Albany FireWolves with a 6-1 record.
Heading into Saturday the New York Riptide (3-4) were looking for the first victory at Nassau Coliseum and the match against Georgia is an intriguing one.
When you talk about lacrosse there are many names that come into mind when it comes time for greats, and two of them in Jeff Teat and Lyle Thompson went up against each other.
Teat is starting to gain momentum for the Riptide as in the last four games he scored 17 goals, 14 assists and he and the team have a 3-1 record.
Jeff had Nassau Coliseum cheering TEAT throughout the game v Georgia as he and his teammates bombarded the Georgia goalkeeper.

In the first quarter alone, Jeff scored five goals as he helped to open up the rest of the offense for his squad. Also, impressing is Connor Kearnan and Reilly O’Connor as they both had seven points each.
Something that is particularly impressive is the fact that the Riptide have won two games in a row and are getting impressive performances against the top teams in the league and that is great news as the team heads into the month of February.
For New York they won their most complete game as they won 56% of the faceoffs and were able to do a great job defensively.
After this impressive showing the Riptide go on the road to take on the Calgary Roughnecks on February 2 before returning back to NYCB Live-Nassau Coliseum on February 10 for a game against the San Diego Seals with the start time scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
