Sweet Sweep for St. John’s in 70-50 victory against Villanova

With how hard the young men at St. John’s (13-7, 5-4 BIG EAST) are working and how quickly they are learning under the tutelage of Head Coach Rick Pitino, everyone wearing a Red Storm uniform is putting in the work to make it to the NCAA Tournament.

For the team though there are going to be moments and times and games when the team has got to play the way that Coach Pitino plans in order for them to get into the dance.

One milestone achieved on a rainy Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden as they achieved one of the sweetest wins to date and that is a 70-50 decision against Villanova University (11-8, 4-4 BIG EAST).
For the Red Storm this is the first time they have swept the Wildcats since the 1992-93 season, and one of the moments the team can build upon as time is quickly ticking towards the all-important BIG EAST Tournament.
