On a beautiful day in New York City, New York Jets Linebacker CJ Mosley and Defensive Lineman Solomon Thomas got to meet some of those that were less in need thanks to a yearly long tradition that is held by the Jets.
The franchise as they teamed up with the Food Bank for New York City in Harlem along with Chunky, got to bring joy and food in the spirit of thanksgiving recently.
Fans are encouraged to check out the video below that featured sights from Mosley and Solomon distributing food…..video is compliments of the New York Jets:
Getting to see what it is like to be around a place like the Food Bank for New York City and distributed pantry bags with Chunky Soup, fresh fruit, and vegetables, helped clients load their carts and passed out soup samples.
In addition, the franchise gave a donation to the Food Bank of New York for $15,000, to help the Food Bank continue their fine efforts in giving those who are unable to afford a meal with something to enjoy during the Holiday season.
The yearlong tradition of the Jets disturbing food during the Thanksgiving season started 15 years ago and is one the team always looks forward too.
As for the team on the field the team is heading into a Week 11 Clash with fellow New York NFL franchise the Buffalo Bills that is going to be played on November 19. It has been an interesting past few weeks for the franchise.
In the team’s Week 10 clash against the Raiders the guys lost a 16-12 game, after the team’s Week 9 and Week 9 victories against the Chargers and Giants. It is going to be interesting to see how the team can rebound against the Bills and what they can do differently to get back to their winning ways.
