The New York Liberty (24-7) fell short to the Las Vegas Aces (28-3) in Game Three of a Four game matchup. In WNBA action on Thursday, the Aces defeated Liberty 88-75.
Leading the way for Las Vegas is Chelsea Gray, as she showed a ton of heart and emotion in recording a Triple -Double with her 22 points, 11-rebound, 11-assist in the game.
Las Vegas Aces were determined to redeem themselves, after losing the 2023 Commissioner’s Cup game, as the loss put some fire under the Aces.
“The biggest thing we have is our physicality they have a lot of offense but if we can make their looks difficult, disrupt their timing, getting in the passing lane making them catch it two feet off the block rather than right there on the block,” said Gray on going up against the New York Liberty
Game three started off similar to the Commissioner’s Cup game where the teams struggled to land shots. Game got going with the Aces A’ja Wilson scoring the first two shots from the free throw line. Betnijah Laney followed with a three pointer as well as Jonquel Jones.
