When it comes time for sports and rivalries people always love to talk about the epic clashes that take place. There have been battles between the New York Yankees and the Red Sox, for the fans of hockey the New York Rangers and the Islanders and for fans of soccer the bouts between the United States soccer team and Mexico.
These two iconic soccer clubs will have a chance to renew their rivarly as they will participate in the inaugural Allstate Continental Clásico on Wednesday, April 19 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Fans wanting to catch the action can do so starting at 9:30 p.m. on HBO Max, to go along with TBS, Telemundo, Universo and Peacock also airing the match starting at 10:00 p.m.
This will be the 7th meeting between US and Mexico, as thus far America has been playing brilliant soccer in winning all of the meetings thus far.
Two of the victories for the US. helped the team clinching the continental championships. The first was a thrilling Concacaf Nationals League Final in June 2021. That was when Christian Pulisic kicked in the game-winning goal to go along with the heroic penalty kick for the 3-2 decision.
The other win came during the Gold Cup Final in August 2021, which was a 1-0 decision for the US in extra time on the 117th minute from defender Miles Robinson.
Overall the USMNT holds a 22-36-16 record against Mexico in a feud that dates back to 1934. Things have turned the way for the United States since 2000, as they now have a 17-9-7 mark. There are thirteen players on the roster that have previously faced off against El Tri and they are defenders Aaron Long, De Andre Yedlin, Walker Zimmerman, Kellyn Acosta and Jordan Morris.
The stage is set as two of the more iconic soccer teams in the world are set to clash in the inaugural Allstate Continental Clásico.
