In Opening up the Minor League Baseball season, the Brooklyn Cyclones fared well as they were able to take two-of-the three games against the Jersey Shore Blue Claws.
On Saturday the Cyclones had a tough 8-6 loss in front of 1,245 fans at Maimonides Park. Helping to lead the way on the offensive side for Brooklyn was catcher Kevin Parada, as he was able to lift a 391 homer in the third inning.
Also having a great day at the play was Omar De Los Santos, Stanley Consuegra and Cesar Berbesi
.
It was a radical moment for the Cyclones as Quinn Brodey and Manny Rodriguez, who were both on the 2017 and 2018 rosters, were able to return to the squad. This time they are now pitchers, as the duo only had one run over 4.0 innings and striking out three batters.
In the finale on Sunday the guys were able to see a 4-2 victory, as this was the team’s second victory in three days.
Pitcher Tyler Stuart allowed only one hit through four innings, as he was able to keep the Blue Claws off the scoreboard. Stuart pitched well in striking out five batters while walking two.
The guys will have a day off before starting a long road stretch against the Winston-Salem Dash starting on Tuesday. The series which will be played at Truist Stadium will start at 7:00 p.m.
