St. John’s University Women’s Basketball falls to Seton Hall, 68-58

Things were so close, but at the end of the game the St. John’s Women’s Basketball team fell to Seton Hall 68-58. St. John’s was able to make the score within five with about two minutes left and had plenty of open looks, but the stellar defense of Seton Hall was able to keep them off the scoreboard.


There were four players for the Red Storm finishing in double-figures, as Jayla Everett had 14 points, while hitting some huge buckets in the Fourth Quarter. Kadaja Bailey followed with 12 points tied a career-high in made free throws going 8-for-9 from the line.


Unique Drake had some sweet low post moves finishing the night in double-figures with 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting. To round out the scoring was Danielle Patterson who had 12 points, thus far Patterson has been on a roll for St. John’s having 11;0 points per game over the last four appearances.

On the rebounding end of the court Rayven Peeples continued to lead for the team as she had 12, this was the ninth time this season she was able to finish in double-figure rebounding.


There was a milestone moment for the Red Storm as midway through the opening stanza Jillian Archer had her 500th career rebound.

The Red Storm will look to get back to their winning ways as they will be on the road to take on Creighton this Saturday for a 2:00 p.m. start in Omaha.
