Hofstra Men’s Basketball set to take on the Blue Hens on Saturday

It will be an epic battle between the Hofstra University Men’s Basketball team and the University of Delaware in CAA Conference action at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex at 2 p.m.

The Hofstra Men’s Basketball team will have some special fans in attendance as they will celebrate the Boy Scouts of America at the game. In addition the fans will be supporting Coaches Cure CF. The mission of the Coaches Cure CF is to promote and increase community awareness, to help raise funds to support Cystic Fibrosis research and to provide an ASSIST to those in need.

Hofstra has won the last three games while improving their record to 11-7 overall and 4-1 in Colonial Athletic Association play. In the last game that they had played the Pride have able to earn a 77-57 victory over Monmouth on Wednesday evening.

Delaware holds a 10-7 overall mark while having a 2-2 conference record. 

The last time the two teams had met the Pride was able to earn a 87-73 victory over Delaware, when the teams played against each other on December 29 in Newark. Leading the way for the Pride was Aaron Estrada who had 31 points.

Leading the all-time series between the two teams is the Pride as they hold a 66-34 mark. Hofstra and the University of Delaware are familiar foes as they have played each other the most, with the series starting the 1953-54 season with a 72-62 Pride victory. The Pride have been able to win five times in the series, 12 of the last 14 and 18 of the last 21 meetings that date back to the 2014-15 season.
