New York City Football Club Announces 2023 MLS Regular Season Schedule

New York City Football Club (NYCFC) recently announced the Club’s 2023 MLS regular season schedule. The 2023 season will mark NYCFC’s ninth season and features 34 regular season matches.

The Boys in Blue will begin their 2023 campaign on the road against Nashville SC on Saturday, February 25 and Chicago Fire FC on Saturday, March 4.

The following week, NYCFC will host its home opener against Inter Miami CF at Yankee Stadium on Saturday, March 11.

The 2023 schedule features 28 matches against Eastern Conference opposition and six matches against teams from the Western Conference. NYCFC will play nine matches at Yankee Stadium in The Bronx and six at Citi Field in Queens. The venue for the Club’s last two home matches of the regular season will be determined later in the year.

NYCFC CEO, Brad Sims, said: “We’re excited to announce our 2023 MLS season schedule as we look to continue competing for trophies year in and year out. This Club has brought home silverware to New York City in each of the past two seasons and our aim is to keep that streak going in 2023.

“Yankee Stadium will continue serving as our primary venue for the 2023 season, however we are looking forward to playing more matches this year in the World’s Borough at Citi Field. Following the announcement of Willets Point as the site for our proposed stadium, playing more matches in Queens when Yankee Stadium is unavailable is the perfect solution for our fans and the entire Club. “

“As always, NYCFC will do everything possible to ensure our matches are played within the five boroughs. For the home matches listed without confirmed venues, the goal is to play them either at Yankee Stadium or Citi Field. However, we are unable to confirm the venues for those locations at this time for a variety of reasons, including the 2023 MLB playoffs.

“We cannot wait to see our fans again next year as we look to keep writing Club history.”

The 2023 season will also see the debut of MLS Season Pass, the unprecedented subscription service from Apple and Major League Soccer that will have every match of the MLS regular season, Audi 2023 MLS Cup Playoffs and Leagues Cup – all in one place and with no blackouts. With MLS Season Pass, fans can enjoy every MLS match on billions of devices through the Apple TV app on Apple devices, smart TVs, streaming devices, set-top boxes and game consoles, and the web at tv.apple.com. The launch of MLS Season Pass on Feb. 1, 2023 marks the official kickoff of the 10-year partnership between MLS and Apple, a historic first for a major professional sports league.
