Bridgeport Sound Tigers Face Tough OT Loss to Hartford

It was a tough battle between two American Hockey League Rivals, ultimately the Bridgeport Sound Tigers fell to the Hartford Wolf Pack by a final of 3-2 at Webster Bank Arena.

The Sound Tigers were able to come back from a two-goal deficit, but sadly were not able to earn the victory in what was a tough battle on Wednesday night.

Hartford was able to open the scoring as Jonny Brodzinski found the back of the cage at the 13:58 mark. The Wolf Pack continued to skate well and were rewarded with another goal thanks to Tarmo Reunanen, who netted a power-play chance at the 17:04 mark of the second period.

Bridgeport battled back though as Dmytro Timashov had his third tally in four games and made things a nail biter between these two AHL rivals. The Sound Tigers tied things up on a goal by Cole Bardreau, who now has a team-leading nine goals this season.

As always, the action was fast paced and hard hitting, and ultimate it was the Wolf Pack who found the game-winning goal thanks to Tim Gettinger that lifted the team to the OT victory.

Sadly, that goal ended the Sound Tigers three-game winning streak. The Sound Tigers were not able to cash in on their power play opportunities, which could have been a huge turning point to the team earning a victory.

The Sound Tigers will next be in action on Thursday, as they will be on the road to take on the Providence Bruins at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough Mass. The action between these two teams is set for 1:00 p.m.
