Oriole Park at Camden Yards will be a buzz on Thursday as the Baltimore Orioles return home to take on their American League East Rivals the Boston Red Sox for three games. The Orioles did well in the opening away trip to Boston and to New York, Sweeping the Red Sox before winning a game against the Yankees in the Bronx.

The American League East is one of the toughest Divisions in all Major League Baseball, and the Orioles got a taste of that in an early test against one of Major League Baseball’s best teams in the Yankees.

In the opening game the O’s fell to the Yankees by a final of 7-0 on Monday, before seeing a 7-2 loss on Tuesday. Baltimore’s bats came to life in the finale on Wednesday, combined with some great pitching as the team won a 4-3 nail biter on Wednesday.

Leading the way in the team’s 4-3 victory on the offensive side, was Cedric Mullins and Anthony Santander who both hit homers in he Fourth Inning. One of the true highlights was the performance of the O’s bullpen as four relievers came in to shut down, what is a particularly good New York Yankees offense.

Two pitchers that shined brightest were Tanner Scott and Cesar Valdez, who both had three strikeouts each.

The home opener is going to be a great pitching match-up between Eduardo Rodriguez who will be taking on Matt Harvey.
