Baltimore Reschedules Series against the Miami Marlins

It has been announced by the Baltimore Orioles (5-3) that they will play a four-game series against the Miami Marlins (2-1) on Tuesday, August 4 at  7:35 p.m. ET at Oriole Park at Camden Yards with the Orioles serving as the home team for the first two games. Major League Baseball and club officials will continue to monitor the track and possible impact of Hurricane Isaias.

On Wednesday, August 5, the teams will play a doubleheader with seven-inning contests beginning at 5:05 p.m. The second game will begin approximately 30 minutes after the first game concludes. The Orioles will serve as the home team for Game 1, while the Marlins will serve as the home team for Game 2. The teams will meet in a series finale on Thursday, August 6, at 7:35 p.m. with the Marlins serving as the home team.

The team also made a huge move recently according to reports as they traded reliever Richard Bleier to the Marlins for the Player to Be Named Later. It’ll be a bit of a homecoming for Bleier who is a Miami-native and will have an opportunity to play closer to home. The Lefty was with the Orioles since 2017. Thus far during this 2020 season Bleier had pitched three innings, recording no runs and giving up only one hit in 55.1 innings. During the 2019 season, Bleier earned a 5.39 ERA and a 1.319 WHIP

There was a game that was scheduled to be played against the New York Yankees on August 5th, but that game was moved to another date.

The four-game series against the Marlins was originally scheduled from July 27-28 in Miami and July 29-30 in Baltimore, but was postponed due to COVID-19.
