Binghamton Rumble Ponies in First Place in strong Eastern League Conference

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies (Mets AA Minor League team) have had a strong start to the month of April, holding a 15-9 record and playing some really strong baseball.

Braxton Lee is one of the many Rumble Ponies who is sitting in the top when it comes time for the League Batting Average. Lee who currently ranks third in the Eastern League,  has been seeing time in the defensive side in both the outfield and infield has a .344 average, recording 22 hits.

Some of the Mets top prospects have shined thus far for the team, one of them has been shortstop Andres Gimenez, who is considered to be one of the best international prospects, and has shined thus far with the Rumble ponies. Thus far in 22 games the infielder has a .256 average, recording 23 hits, ripping five doubles and plating 10 RBI’s.

Kevin Kaczmarski has shined with both his glove and his bat for Binghamton. In the most recent series with the Portland Sea Dogs he was able to rip a three run bomb, while also making some stellar plays in the outfield.

On the pitching side Binghamton has had some stellar performances by David Peterson, Anthony Kay and Michael Gibbons have all had impressive showings.

The Rumble Ponies will next return to NYSEG Stadium on Friday, May 10 as they will start a three game stretch against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, before hosting the Altoona Curve. There are a ton of amazing events and giveaways happening at the Stadium, as on Saturday, May 11 the team will have a Jacob DeGrom Bobblehead and on Monday, May 13 the team will host Mutt Monday.
