Tenacity:

The quality or fact of being very determined; determination

New York City FC showed the guts, determination and tenacity that they had in the 2-1 victory over the New England Revolution in Major League Soccer action at Yankee Stadium.

This was a huge match for the boys in blue who are trying to battle for Second Place in the Eastern Conference.

Things did not look great to start as the Revolution were able to get on the board at the 57′ thanks to a goal by Teal Bunbury. The Captain David Villa was able to step-up and create magic in the 77′ marker to get the momentum on the side of the home team.

There was a lot of tension building up to the game-winner, in the end it was Jonathan Lewis stopage-time goal that was able to get the team  five points ahead of Chicago.
