Brilliant Finale to Barclays Center Classic as Maryland is Crowned Champions

It Was a Brilliant Finale to the 2016 Barclays Center Classic as Boston College, the University of Richmond, Kansas State and the University of Maryland all showed why they will be teams to watch this College Basketball Season.

In the Consolation Game the University of Richmond (3-2)  defeated Boston College (3-2)  by a final of 67-54. Leading the way on the offense for the Spiders was T.J. Cline, who had 23 points and 10 rebounds. ShawnDre’ Jones recorded 17 points, while Julius Johnson had a career day, scoring 12 points with six rebounds on 5-of-6 shooting.

The Championship Game was a thriller between the University of Maryland (6-0)  and Kansas State (6-1) as the Terps were crowned Champions with a 69-68 victory. Melo Trimble converted a layup with 6.6 seconds remaining, that allowed for Maryland to complete another amazing comeback victory.

Trimble led all scoring for the Terps with his 18 points. Michal Cekovsky added 16 points for Maryland.
