D.C. United Stay Alive In Playoff Push with Huge Victory over Orlando City SC

D.C. United had a huge opportunity to push themselves above the red line today, and took it with a 4-1 victory over Orlando City SC in Major League Soccer action at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C.

Patrick Mullins had two goals, while  Lloyd Sam and Julian Büscher also recorded goals for the home team. for Büscher the tally was his first career MLS goal.

Playing in front of the biggest crowd of the season (25,842) D.C. United used that energy to score three goals in the Second Half.

The victory saw D.C. United move into sixth place in the east, they now have 37 points through 30 games.

D.C. United will  return to RFK Wednesday, Septebmer 28 to play Columbus Crew SC in another vital Eastern Conference matchup. The action is set for 7:30 p.m.
