The New York Lizards (7-0) are getting ready to play host to the Florida Launch (1-6) in Major League Lacrosse action on Friday, June 5 at 7:30 pm at Shuart Stadium on the Campus of Hofstra University.

New York looks to remain at the top of the MLL standings with a victory over Florida. After splitting two games (winning one while losing the other) against the Launch in 2014, the Lizards are looking to change the result while also battling what will be a very hungry team.

During Week 7 the Lizards had a 21-16 victory over the Charlotte Hounds, the 21 points for New York was the most so far for the team thus far this season.

After a seven point performance (five goals and two assists) Rob Pannell earned Coca-Cola Player of the Game Award.

The Beast Greg Gurenlian continues to impress in the face-off x, earning the FOAthlete of the Week for the fifth time this season. Gurenlian had a 71% face-off percentage against the Hounds, winning 25 out of 30 faceoffs while also picking up 18 ground balls.

Paul Rabil had a six point game (four goals and two assists). Tommy Palasek added five goals.

Rookie Ryan Walsh made an impact for New York by recording a hat trick in his first MLL game.
