New York Lizards return home to host Rochester on Sunday

The New York Lizards (2-0) return to Shuart Stadium in a home-and-home series against the Rochester Rattlers (1-1) in Major League Lacrosse action on Sunday, April 26.

New York went to Rochester and earned a 19-9 victory. The offense was led by Tommy Palasek who finished with five goals. Paul Rabil recorded his first hat trick with the team, Rob Pannell registered two goals and four assists, Ned Crotty, Mike Stone and Matt Gibson had two goals each, and Kyle Hartzell had a two-pointer.

Thanks to his play in the face-off X Greg ‘The Beast’  Gurenlian was not only named Coca-Cola Player of the Game against Rochester, but was also the Warrior Defensive Player of the Week and The Faceoff Academy FOAthlete of the Week.

Gurenlian went 23 for 26 in face-offs with 16 groundballs in the game against the Rattlers and will be one of the many keys to the Lizards success in the 2015 season.

In the cage against Rochester, New York had the duo of Drew Adams and Sean Brady registering a total of 16 saves.

Prior to the game on Sunday the first 1,000 fans that go through the gates at Shuart Stadium will receive a Greg Gurenlian bobblehead. The game between New York and Rochester is set to air on the MSG Plus Network and Fox Sports, with the action scheduled to start at 5:00 p.m.
