Leading the way was Senior Sir’Dominic Pointer who recorded his seventh double-double of the season via his game-high 22 points and 10 rebounds.

St. John’s relied a lot on the Seniors who have all combined been on a long and winding journey to these last few months of the 2014-15 season to help the team keep their composure through the punches and counter punches during the course of the game.

Phil Greene IV finished the night with 20 points, while also dishing out four assist in the game. D’Angelo Harrison tallied 12 points to finish in the double-figure scoring column for the 25th time this season. Jamal Branch was able to drain a three-pointer from the corner that helped the team gain a 66-59 lead and provided a great spark for the team.

The Red Storm matched a season-high with 11 3-pointers, while the Four-year players hold a 31-4 mark in Queens. One of the biggest keys to the victory was the fact that the team was able to pass the ball very well as the team dished out a season-high 20 assists on 30 made field goals.

Sophomore Rysheed Jordan had an impressive showing with his 18 points, six rebounds and six assists with only one turnover in 37 minutes.

There is no rest for this team in their quest for March Madness as the Red Storm will be back in action for the  the second contest of a three-game homestand on Monday, February 23 when they take on Xavier at Madison Square Garden, with tip-off scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
