The Manhattan College Men’s Basketball team (2-6) put up a good fight but in the end fell to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (6-4) by a final of 63-55 in the Holiday Festival held at Madison Square Garden.

Manhattan was able to put up a good fight in the Second Half of play, having had the Rutgers lead cut to Five at one point in time. The Scarlet Knights were able to cash in on the turnovers they were able to cause and earn the victory.

Leading the way for the Scarlet Knights was Forward Kadeem Jack (Queens, N.Y.)  who finished the night with 24 points. Sophomore Forward Junior Etou (Republic of Congo) had himself a strong inside game finishing with 16 points.

For Manhattan the Jaspers saw two players finish with double-digit scoring as Senior Forward Emmy Andujar (Bronx, N.Y.) who finished with 21 points and Nine Boards, while Junior Forward Ashton Pankey (Bronx, N.Y) had 10 points.

Manhattan will next be in action on December 20 at Draddy Gym when they take on Morgan State with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
