Bolts leave lasting Impression in Home Finale over Florida Blacktips

In a short period of time the Brooklyn Bolts were able to capture the imagination of fans in the New York area, while also giving an opportunity for those who may not have had one prior to the existence of the Fall Experimental Football League.

On a blistering cold night at MCU Park the Bolts came back and won the game against the Florida Blacktips by a final of 26-13. Somehow for the home finale the guys were able to come together for one final time to stand tall and represent the Borough that adopted them all during the Fall.

Florida proved to be a team to watch for in the future as they had Brooklyn-born David Legree and Running back Tim Hightower on the team. Hightower, who last played in the NFL during the 2011 season made his FXFL debut in the game and looked ready to get the call once again to play under the bright lights as he had several huge plays during the course of the game.

At the end though the Bolts were not going to be denied as the defensive and special teams pulled together for two huge plays in the Fourth Quarter to earn the victory.

There were many highlights for Brooklyn that once again used the one-two punch of Corey Robinson and Kolton Browning at the Quarterback position.

One of the plays of the game happened when Korey Williams intercepted the ball and took it to the house for a touchdown. The Bolts were able to take over momentum and leave the fans buzzing with a victory in the home finale.  Though the Bolts had one player called to the NFL as Safety Jordan Dangerfield got the call to the Pittsburgh Steelers. There are many others on the roster currently who could get the call including Running Back and Hofstra Product Kareem Huggins.
