Fans of Minor League Baseball will be in for a treat on August 19, as the best and brightest of the New York-Penn League will take center stage at MCU Park for the 2014 New York-Penn League All-Star Game.

The game will feature Top-20 prospects, 2014 Draft Picks and Six players from the host Brooklyn Cyclones organization all will be represented at what will be one of the featured events of the summer.
Players to watch for on August 19 will be Tampa Bay Rays Top Prospect Casey Gillaspie, who was taken 20th overall in the 2014 Draft. Considered to be one of the top College hitters, Gillaspie has a .277/.362/.457 line with six homers and 33 RBIs so far in his first season as a pro.
Danny Mars is another outstanding prospect to watch for, having been selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 2014 Draft in the Sixth Round. The Outfielder who plays for the Lowell Spinners leads all active NYPL batters in average (.363), OBP (.419) and OPS (.915) and should set the table for the North offense.
The hosts Brooklyn Cyclones are very well represented as Six Players will get to continue to showcase their talents in front of the hometown crowd, as Amed Rosario, Jhoan Ureña, Marcos Molina, Corey Oswalt, Shane Bay and Michael Bernal will all be a part of the South All-Stars Affiliates.
For the Cyclones this is the second time in franchise history the organization has got to host the All-Star game, and there will be a bevy of activities slated for the day including, Autograph Sessions a Civil Servant / Celebrity All-Star Challenge presented by MCU, and postgame fireworks.
