Here are some notes for those fans getting ready to watch the New York Knicks (38-24) take on the Portland Trail Blazers (29-34) in NBA action.

This will be the third of a five-game West Coast road trip for the Knicks, as this will be the final of two meetings between the two teams.

New York was led by Carmelo Anthony’s 45 points and seven rebounds in over 41 minutes, JR Smith posted 28 points and 11 boards for a double-double over 40 minutes off the bench.

The New York Knicks fell to the Denver Nuggets 117-94 in NBA action on Wednesday. Leading the way on offense was Iman Shumpert who had 20 points and JR Smith who finished with 15.

2004: New York was able to rally from a 65-39 deficit to defeat the Milwaukee Bucks 103-100 at the Bradley Center. Stephon Marbury scores 21 points and dishes out 16 assist in the victory.

2012: Mike Woodson becomes interim head coach and the team responded to the move with 121-79 victory over the Trail Blazers. New York went 19-39 (.487) from downtown. JR Smith hits 7-of-14 from downtown for 23 points, while Steve Novak adds 6-for-10 from beyond-the-arc for 20 points.

The Knicks and the Trail Blazers game is set to air on the MSG and TNT networks, with the tip-off scheduled for 10:30 p.m.
