The New York Lizards schedule were released on Tuesday, as the team will kick-off the season against the Boston Cannons on Sunday, April 28 with face-off scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
New York is also set to play two games at Randall’s Island in New York City, as the Lizards host the Chesapeake Bayhawks on Thursday, June 6 at 7 p.m. and again on June 13 against the Hamilton Nationals also at 7 p.m.
The Lizards are also calling on their creative fans to contribute to naming the newest member of the team-the mascot! Fans can post the most creative name to the team’s Facebook page (Facebook.com/New York Lizards), by tweeting the Lizards (@LizardsLacrosse) or by clicking on the link below:

The staff over at the Lizards will be accepting name ideas from now until this Friday, January 18 at 5 p.m. The top five names will be posted on Tuesday January 22 on the Lizards website as well as the Facebook and Twitter pages.
After that it will be up to the fans to vote for their favorite names, the name receiving the most votes will be announced on Tuesday, January 29 at the Lizards Blizzard event at Spin New York.
That fan who submits the winning name will obtain two tickets to the Lizards home opener against the Boston Cannons on April 28 and a piece of Lizards autographed memorabilia.
