1495 Sports Live Scoring update Final: New York Liberty def. Chicago Sky: 64-59

Make sure to refresh this page as Liberty guard Cappie Pondexter returns home to Chicago to take on a Sky team now led by Sylvia Fowles. Fowles helped Chicago snap a four-game losing streak on Sunday July 1st in the team’s  71-69 victory over the Atlanta Dream. Injured for the sky is Brooklyn native Epiphanny Prince who has a broken foot.

Helping to lead the Liberty in their 77-59 victory over the Seattle Storm on June 30th was Essence Carson, who continues to show the WNBA a great mix of being able to score at any moment and the ability to dissect another teams defense. Carson, who finished that game with 22 points and a willingness to attack the basket at any second.

Slated to make her WNBA regular season debut for the Liberty is Katelan Redmon, who appeared for the team in a pre-season game scoring 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field. The 6-foot-1 guard/foward is a graduate of Gonzaga where she averaged  13.8 points and  5.4 rebounds in her three years with the team.

With 2:24 on the clock the Liberty had such pretty basketball. Starting with a huge offensive board by Braxton, Leilani Mitchell had the sweet dish to Cappie Pondexter who finished off the play with a 13-foot bank jump shot. Liberty lead 33-27 with 2:02 to go in 2nd Q
