New York Mets ring in 2012 on a charitable note

The New York Mets announced on Tuesday, that the franchise will hold their annual blood drive this Thursday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Citi Field’s Caesar’s Club.  Fans coming by to donate will get a voucher for a pair of tickets to a selected game in April.

Teaming up with the New York Blood center, who provides close to one million blood components to nearly 200 hospitals in the Metropolitan area along with parts of Connecticut and Pennsylvania.

Fans participating in the event can park in Lot G on 126th street, located between the right-field gate and Roosevelt Avenue. The vouchers received for the tickets, can also be used to receive 15% off at the Mets Team Store on that day.
